[Science Museum] The Development of AV Equipment and Integrated Control System Using Smart Pad in Gwacheon Science Museum

In April of this year, we opened the " Nexon Maple Story Research Lab " in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, a science fiction museum located in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province.

The Nexon Maple Story Labs is an exhibition of virtual worlds that are closely connected to modern life, which is a physical space, and it provides opportunities for parents and children to understand and socialize together.

The pavilion consisted of six spaces including Pink Blank Portal & Photo Zone, Becoming Maple Hero, Game Production Task (Director / Planning / Art / Program) and Infographic using the popular online game 'Maple Story' IP.

In particular, we introduced a digital interactive multimedia space where we can design games and program codes for our imaginative gaming worlds, and introduce the character of ‘ Maple Story ’ character to a 3D hologram.

Utas designed and constructed AV automation and integrated control system using smart pad for advanced control system UCON based on AV and electric equipment of Futuristic imaginary SF tube in Gwacheon science hall.

The pavilion operator can control 3 TVs, 4 PCs, 1 sequential power supply, 9 projectors, 3 kiosks on / off and various functions according to user scenarios collectively and individually using smart pad.

The engineering team enabled the AV equipment to operate more effectively through the next generation of controls in the exhibition hall for customized AV systems and multiple interfaces (Infrared, RS-232, Relay, Digital I/O) protocol customized for deployment of customized AV automation and integrated control systems.

In order to develop operating software for Smartphone, Tablet PC, and Operator PC, UI (User Interface) storyboard and GUI design are planned to reflect user requirements. It analyzes and builds the protocol for the control devices (IR, RS232 / 485, TCP / IP, contact point, Digital I / O), execution schedule and scenario based control macro for control system.

The technical team develops operating software APP based on Android, iOS, and Windwos OS that is used by the operator and installs it on smartphone, smart pad and PC, and quickly develops it in a short period of time for convenient use by users and operators.
